I think I judge their worth on a book-by-book basis. I have Atwood hardcovers, received as gifts, but I would've happily waited for the paperbacks. I love Atwood's books, and also retellings from women's POVs (which I suppose should really be PsOV) -- e.g., Anita Diamant's The Red Tent and Sena Jeter Naslund's Ahab's Wife.e_journeyshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13381530423919462133noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5767816.post-1122078462298429952005-07-22T20:27:00.000-04:002005-07-22T20:27:00.000-04:00The Fagles translation is considered best these da...The Fagles translation is considered best these days. Fitzgerald is good too. Lattimore is generally considered unreadable, although it's the one I was raised on.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5767816.post-1122075154581952622005-07-22T19:32:00.000-04:002005-07-22T19:32:00.000-04:00Read the Odyssey!Read the Odyssey!Suzannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12162443999028523858noreply@blogger.com
