I look forward to watching them pick up some of her other skills.Kellyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07431906973934603098noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5767816.post-1155143768636040742006-08-09T13:16:00.000-04:002006-08-09T13:16:00.000-04:00Oh, I wish my children were being raised bilingual...Oh, I wish my children were being raised bilingual! Their capacity for learning language, and making distinctions between sounds, and playing around with those sounds is amazing right now. C has always made up her own words, and almost always uses them in impromptu songs, which she then wants us to join in. She also has a propensity for transposing word sounds-- for instance, she was calling a building she saw ishred. I was confused until I realized she meant reddish. And I've heard her say chidle for child...etc etc. Fascinating. And I love Helena's gathering of words that sound the same but mean different things.marthahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09691207583232829217noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5767816.post-1154714063100069702006-08-04T13:54:00.000-04:002006-08-04T13:54:00.000-04:00I am contantly amazed by the learning capability o...I am contantly amazed by the learning capability of children, and the distinction between what they know and what they haven't figured out yet. I love hearing these little stories.Reneehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00986482123482600440noreply@blogger.com
